Welcome to Leila Restaurant Website

The Concept

She grew up in the mountains surrounded by the purity of the air, the people and the peace of mind.  Leila’s childhood was spent in an aromatic kitchen with her grandmother who wanted to pass on the blessings of her hands to feed the next generation she wouldn’t see herself.  They collected fresh vegetables together, bought their needs from the market sifting through herbs, spices and authentic Lebanese treasures from the Earth.  Leila rode her vehicle overflowing with the bounty she had gathered over the years and moved to the city for another type of delicacy – brain food, and eventually found a way to bring together both worlds by setting up Leila restaurant.

Leila invites all those seeking an exquisite experience to lounge in her mellow musical moods and traditional food with a twist infused with a little mountain passion in every dish.  Leila is the blend of old and new, of pure tradition and modern comforts; an innovative concept of an upscale Lebanese dining restaurant.  Leila acknowledge’s the goodness that has come from the hands of Lebanese women and seeks to offer the same delicacies from mezze to salads to fresh pastries and barbequed meat all char-grilled to perfection and seasoned with exceptional spices to create a taste that is exclusively Leila.

LEILA:  A Woman with a Story

LEILA is a fusion of old and new, of pure tradition and modern comforts.  She grew up in the mountains where the purity of the air, the people and peace of mind molded her into the LEILA we see today.

Her childhood was spent in an aromatic kitchen with her grandmother who wanted to pass on the blessings of her hands to the next generation she wouldn't see herself.  They collected fresh vegetables together, and bought their needs from the market together; sifting through herbs, spices and authentic Lebanese treasures of the earth.

Eventually, LEILA rode her own vehicle overflowing with the bounty she had gathered over the years and moved to Beirut for another type of delicacy - brain food.  Dividing her time between studying in the city and visiting home made LEILA want to make the two worlds meet…and that’s how Dekanet LEILA and LEILA restaurant were brought to life.  LEILA is born into this setting and invites you to lounge in her mellow musical moods and taste the twist of traditional food infused with a little modern passion in every dish.

LEILA simply acknowledges and celebrates the goodness that has come from our Lebanese womens’ hands and seeks to offer the same delicacies complimented with unique mixes and spices to create a taste that is exclusively and exquisitely LEILA.

Leila’s Offerings

Leila’s menu offers several tempting and exceptional versions of traditional Lebanese dishes, focusing mainly on the notorious mezze dishes available in either hot or cold.  Small dishes of contrasting colors, flavors, textures and aromas are served with fresh soft Lebanese bread.  Surrender to our popular hummus, piped complimented with small bits of meat and golden pine nuts and a splash of olive oil.  Fattet Batenjane, another favorite; soft eggplant covered in yoghurt and garlic, served with crisp, fried Lebanese bread and sprinkled with pine nuts. The terracotta ceramic dishes only enhance the authentic Leila experience of Lebanese cuisine.
